This small collection contains samples of printed materials from the Press of the Palace of the Governors (Santa Fe, N.M.), including a portfolio of Spanish folk poems, Native American poems, a poem by Peggy Pond Church, newspaper facsimiles, booklets, invitations, announcements, advertisements, and ephemera. This collection was amassed by Samuel Larcombe.

A gift of old printing equipment from the Estancia News Herald was the impetus for creating a living history exhibition in the courtyard of the Palace of the Governors. The Press of the Palace of the Governors, a project of the Museum of New Mexico, was founded in the late 1960s, to "preserve New Mexico literary history."
